BREAKING: Power Not Required for Fulfillment – Datti Baba-Ahmed Speaks

Former Labour Party Vice Presidential Candidate, Yusuf Datti Baba Ahmed, has said he feels satisfied with what he has achieved in life and does not see holding the offices of president or vice president as a must for him.

During an interview on Channels Television, Ahmed spoke about his early entry into politics and the progress he made over the years.

He explained that his political journey started at a young age when he became a member of the House of Representatives at 33 years old.

He added that he later moved higher in public service and became a senator at the age of 41.

Ahmed also spoke about his activities outside politics. He revealed that he received approval to establish two universities, which he described as part of his efforts to support education in the country.

In addition to education, he said he invested heavily in healthcare by building what he described as the largest privately owned hospital in Africa. He explained that these achievements remain some of the milestones he is thankful for in his life.

Naija News reports that he said many people have visited him over the years and shared their opinions about public office and success. According to him, some advised that a person can still live a fulfilled life without holding top political positions.

He said: “Other people have come to my office to tell me that, ‘If you die without holding any political office, you are okay, thank your God’. And I am so happy and pleased with what God Almighty has allowed me to achieve at my very young age. At 33 House of Reps, at 41 Senate, then I got a university license, and another university license, the biggest private hospital in Africa and the list goes on and on. Why do I have to be president or vice president?”
