BREAKING: PPRO Responds After He Was Asked If It’s A Crime To Be In Possession Of “Ose Dudu” Known As Black Soap

After an X user questioned Muyiwa Adejobi, the Police Public Relations Officer, about whether it is illegal to carry “Ose Dudu,” also known as back soap, Adejobi responded.

The X user wrote the following on his page on Tuesday:

“With all due respect, sir, is using black soap (ose dudu) illegal? Since cops are arresting people for no crime, just curious, please.

Reacting to the question that was asked by the X user, Muyiwa Adejobi stated that it is not a crime. In the post that he shared on his official X handle, he said most of the police officers who arrest people in possession of black soap also use it.

He wrote on his page;

“It’s not a crime. Most of them who arrest people in possession of ose dudu (black soap) or traditional items do and use them also. So why arrest people for that. It’s an act of wickedness, not policing tradition. Personally, I don’t like or appreciate that”.
