The administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has responded to the recent disclosure made by Yemi Cardoso, the governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), indicating that over $26 billion had moved through Binance Nigeria during the previous four years.
In response, the Presidency stated that Cardoso, the governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, revealed this information during an interview on Tuesday, not long after the MPC meeting in Abuja.
Presidency noted this in a post that was made by the Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Information and Strategy, Mr Bayo Onanuga, noting that the $26 billion passed through Binance Nigeria from sources and users who we cannot be identified.

It should be recalled that it was reported earlier today that the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Yemi Cardoso, disclosed that over $26 billion has passed through Binance Nigeria. The Central Bank of Nigeria and the federal government within the last few days have been doing everything within their power, to save Naira from depreciating against the United States dollar.
