BREAKING: Primate Ayodele Crashes Foodstuff Prices For Members At Palliative Market

It is a season of great relief for members of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, following the launching of a palliative market for them by their humanitarian leader, Primate Elijah Ayodele.

At the palliative market, prices of essential commodities have been crashed to the lowest just to make it affordable for the members.

The gesture is one of its kind, especially coming at a time of immense economic challenge foisted on ordinary Nigerians by the removal of subsidy on fuel.

Fuel is a key driver of the Nigerian economy, and the removal of subsidy on it, has seen prices skyrocket with the masses crying.

It is for this reason that Primate Ayodele’s palliative has come as a great relief to beneficiaries.

Launched last Sunday, November 26, 2023, it afforded members opportunity to buy essential household  items at very subsidized prices.

The Eagle understands that  a  bag of Garri worth N16,000 sold for just N1,000 at the palliative market; 3 tubers of Yam worth N10,000 at N3,000, while a bag of beans was sold for N3,000.

Also, turkey worth N52,000 was sold for N17,000, bags of Poundo Yam and Semovita were sold for N5,000 and N2,000 respectively, while a bag of rice sold for N3,000.

Primate Ayodele, noted for his outspoken nature, especially in joining his voices to important issues affecting the nation, used the opportunity to comment on similar initiatives of the government , which however have remained halfhearted.

‘’The government has failed to perform its duties in cushioning the effects of fuel subsidy removal; a problem they created. The people are suffering so much that they can’t afford to feed. We have thousands of people in several communities that have resorted to begging so they can feed yet the government claims to have done palliatives”

‘’The palliative is nothing but corruption. The funds released and food materials the government claims to have shared is fraudulent. The people are dying in poverty and lack yet the government can’t do anything about it. It is really sad”, the prophet of God said.

He also gave reasons why he is reaching out to Nigerians generally with his humanitarian gestures.

‘’ I am doing this because the government has missed it. I am contributing my quota to society so I can help the government do their job. If they don’t know how to do it, we will teach them how to do it. This is a model for the government to follow. There is serious hunger in the land and if the government can reduce it to a certain level, economic hardship will reduce.’’

It is a known fact that for a long time now, Primate Ayodele has been supportive of the vulnerable members of the society with material supports, aside his prophetic releases which helps to prepare the people for the things coming.

With the latest gesture, the palliative market, he has obviously thrown a great challenge to other men of God and indeed other privileged Nigerians to play their part towards the amelioration of the sufferings of the masses.
