A renowned businessman and Chairman of AlbaBello Trading Company, Alhaji Bala AlbaBello has passed away at the age of 67.
He breathed his last on Monday at around 5 p.m. at Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital, Shika, Zaria, following a brief illness.
AlbaBello is survived by his four wives, 28 children, and numerous grandchildren.
His company, AlbaBello Trading, is a well-established indigenous enterprise with multiple branches across northern Nigeria, specializing in building materials, food, and beverages. The company’s headquarters is located at Timber Shed, ‘Yan Katako, Sabon Gari, Zaria, Kaduna State.
Originally born as Abdulkadir Abdulwahab in Karaye Local Government Area of Kano State, he adopted the business name “AlbaBello” by combining his own name (Alhaji Bala) with that of his brother (Bello).
Having resided in Zaria for over four decades, he was widely recognized for his involvement in the trade of building materials and food products.
He has been buried since according to Islamic rite, at his residence in Zaria, drawing thousands of mourners, including the Emir of Karaye, Alhaji Muhammad Mahraz, representatives of the Emir of Zazzau, Malam Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli, as well as business partners, friends, and dignitaries from various locations.
Speaking on behalf of the bereaved family, Alhaji Hassan Abdulwahab, Managing Director of AlbaBello Trading Company, expressed deep gratitude for the outpouring of support and prayers from the public.
“We are truly overwhelmed by the kindness and solidarity shown during this difficult period,” he stated.
