Reports from Daily Post indicate that the abduction occurred on Friday, sending shockwaves through the community and sparking concerns over the safety of commuters in the region.

Sources revealed that the bus, bound for Lagos State, was intercepted by unknown assailants along the Maya axis of the Lanlate-Eruwa Road at approximately 5 p.m. on Friday evening.

Pastor Olawore, who currently serves at the Heavens Gate Parish of the RCCG in Lagos Province 73, was among the passengers en route to their destination when tragedy struck. The pastor had embarked on the journey following his visit to Ipapo town, where he was involved in finalizing arrangements for his late mother’s burial.

The burial arrangements for Deaconess Deborah Olawore, the pastor’s mother, were reported to be in the advanced stages, with a Christian wake scheduled to commence next week Friday, April 26, followed by the burial ceremony on Friday, May 3rd.

Confirming the distressing incident, the Police Public Relations Officer of the Oyo State Police Command, SP Adewale Osifeso, acknowledged the abduction and assured the public that investigations were underway.
