BREAKING: Rivers Election Not Rigged For Tinubu – PDP Chieftain

A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Rivers State, Princewill Dike, has said that the February 25 presidential election in the state was not rigged in favour of the president-elect, Senator Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

He stated that the outcome of the election in the state was a reflection of the alignment of Rivers people with the position of Governor Nyesom Wike on the need to vote candidate that will protect Rivers State interest

Dike, who spoke with newsmen in Port Harcourt yesterday, said that from the results from different local government areas in the state, it was clear that the election was not rigged but a reflection of the will of the people.

Dike said, “I want to say and dispute the claim that the election was subverted. The Rivers people on their own volition voted for Ahmed Bola Tinubu. The election was not rigged. The voted out of their will based on their love and achievements of Governor Wike.

“The governor does not need to subvert the will of the people because Rivers people are proud of him based on his giant strides in the state. In almost all the wards, the governor has a signature project and that in itself has endeared him to the heart of the people.”

The PDP chieftain stated that the party’s governorship candidate in the state, Siminalaye Fubara is the most outstanding candidate, who can consolidate on the human and infrastructural development of the governor in the state.

He said, “Of all the gubernatorial candidates, Fubara is the only one that is not a politician. He is a bureaucrat. All over the world, countries governed by bureaucrats succeed. That has given Fubara an edge over all other governorship candidates in the state. Siminalaye Fubara is the best candidate.”
