Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, is set to host his counterparts from the South West region at the State House, Ikeja, on Thursday, February 14, 2025.
The meeting will bring together Governors Dapo Abiodun (Ogun), Seyi Makinde (Oyo), Ademola Adeleke (Osun), Lucky Aiyedatiwa (Ondo), and Biodun Oyebanji (Ekiti) to discuss key regional issues.
Lagos State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Gbenga Omotoso, confirmed the meeting in a statement on Wednesday.
According to him, “The South West Governors’ Forum will discuss issues of common interest, such as agriculture and food security, to advance economic growth, foster collaboration and enhance development initiatives in the Zone. Security of lives and property will also be part of the agenda.”
This meeting follows a similar gathering held in Lagos on June 10, 2024, where Governor Sanwo-Olu was unanimously appointed as Chairman of the South West Governors’ Forum.
