Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, will formally commission the reconstructed Chief Yesufu Abiodun Oniru Road, Akiogun Road (Alternative Route To Admiralty Circle Plaza In Lekki), and Abudu Smith Street in the Eti Osa Local Government Area on Friday, February 14, 2025.
This was contained on Thursday in a statement signed by Gbenga Omotoso, the state’s Commissioner for Information and Strategy.
The reconstructed roads are part of the Lagos Public Infrastructure Improvement Project, aimed at enhancing the state’s infrastructure and promoting sustainable development.
The project has improved road connectivity, traffic flow, and reduced travel time, while also eliminating perennial flooding issues and enhancing intermodal transportation.
According to the press release, the reconstruction of Chief Yesufu Abiodun Oniru Akiogun Road as a semi-rigid pavement has increased vehicular capacity, reduced travel time, and boosted interconnectivity.
The project has also had a positive impact on businesses and living in the area.
“The delivery of the project has improved road connectivity, improved traffic flow, reduced travel time, eliminated perennial flooding issues, enhanced intermodal transportation and has uniquely improved the socioeconomic well-being of the people,” the statement added.
The administration of Governor Sanwo-Olu has continued to provide necessary infrastructure for coordinated and sustainable development.
