BREAKING: Senator Akobundu Commits to Promoting Creativity Among Young People

Senator Austin Akobundu of Abia Central Senatorial District has reaffirmed his commitment to fostering positive creativity among young Nigerians as a means of advancing good governance and nation-building.

He expressed this sentiment in a congratulatory message to Dr Osinachi Vincent Chigbu, PhD, during the public presentation of his book titled, “Good Governance, Conflict Management and Sustainable Development in Nigeria,” which took place recently in Abuja, the nation’s capital.

Represented by Chief Jude Ndukwe, Senator Akobundu praised the author for his dedication in bringing the book to fruition and for his passion for peace, conflict resolution, and sustainable development; all of which reflect his commitment to national cohesion and building a stronger nation.

Recalling how the themes of the book align with his own initiatives for peace and conflict management workshops aimed at traditional rulers, community leaders, and youth, Akobundu encouraged young Nigerians to follow Dr Chigbu’s example and make a positive impact on the nation, thereby securing their place in history through their talents. He called on leaders at all levels to support similar efforts among young people, as demonstrated by Dr Chigbu, to harness the wealth of talent available for national development.

In his speech, Dr Chigbu revealed that his inspiration for the book stemmed from a desire to contribute to the resolution of conflicts that are threatening to divide the nation. He voiced hope that policymakers would implement the recommendations within the book for a clearer understanding of the conflicts impacting the country and for effective solutions.

He extended his gratitude to Senator Akobundu and the other attendees for their support and pledged to continue collaborating with relevant stakeholders in their pursuit of national peace, progress, and sustainable development.
