BREAKING: Senator Akobundu Flags Off Construction of Multiple Roads in Abia State

As part of his commitment to delivering the benefits of democracy to his constituents, Senator Austin Akobundu recently launched the construction of the Oloko-Amizi and Oloko-Ugbuebulle roads in Ikwuano LGA. Additional road projects in the Abia Central Senatorial District are also scheduled to commence in the near future.

Once completed, these roads will connect key communities within the constituency and extend to Akwa Ibom State, facilitating the smooth transportation of goods and services and ultimately driving economic growth in the benefiting areas.

During the flag-off ceremony, Senator Akobundu reaffirmed his dedication to effective representation and his goal of attracting impactful projects that enhance the lives of his constituents.

The thrilled residents of the impacted communities expressed their gratitude to the Senator for the road projects and pledged their cooperation to ensure that contractors face no obstacles during construction.

In addition to the road projects, Senator Akobundu has initiated various people-oriented programs since taking office just over a year ago, on November 15, 2023. These initiatives include the installation of solar-powered streetlights in select markets across the six LGAs in the senatorial district, the construction of six modern skills acquisition centers—one in each LGA—remodeling of a health center, and numerous skills development and empowerment programs, such as scholarships and capacity-building initiatives for the youth of the constituency.
