Following the March 2024 update in the market values of players in the English Championship, only 7 non-Europeans are valued above €10 in the competition as per Transfermarkt. Interestingly, the man on top of the list is a Super Eagles star. Who are these top-value stars?

The Nigerian star on top of this list is Wilfred Ndidi of Leicester City. This Leicester star is now valued at €16m making him the most valuable defensive midfielder in the English topflight. Despite being a part of the Foxes’ defence arrangement, Ndidi has got 7 goal involvements so far this season. It should be noted that the 27-year-old Nigerian had pulled out of Nigeria’s AFCON 2023 squad as a result of injury. Meanwhile, his current worth is the same as that of Gabriel Sara of Norwich.
Kamaldeen Sulemana of Southampton is next on the list. This Ghanaian winger presently has a value of €15m making him the second most valuable left-winger. However, he has only made 3 assists so far this season. This 22-year-old footballer is followed by the duo of Patson Daka (a Zambian) and Kelechi Iheanacho (a Nigerian). Coincidentally, these two guys play for Leicester. The former is valued at €14m while the latter currently has a worth of €13m.
The next two men among them are North Americans. They are Josh Sargent (from USA) and Ismaël Koné from Canada. These guys ply their trades at Norwich and Watford respectively. Sargent is assigned a value of €12m while Kone is worth €11m.
