
The deputy governor of Taraba State, Alhaji Aminu Alkali, has returned to the state capital Jalingo after being absent for about four months.
Alkali, who was flown to Abuja for treatment over an undisclosed illness and later flown to Egypt for intensive medical treatment, arrived at Danbaba Suntai Airport, Jalingo, in a chartered Aircraft at 1.40pm on Sunday.
“We were told that the deputy governor is back in Jalingo but nobody informed us of his return. We only heard after he returned to the town,” said a journalist in Jalingo.
At the time of filing this report, there was no report from the the Deputy Governor’s office or the State Government regarding his return, however, the Senior Assistant to the Governor Kefas Agbu on Media and Digital Communications, Emmanuel Bello, confirmed the return of the deputy governor to the State.
