BREAKING: The First 7 Months Of Tinubu As Governor, We Went Through Hell, People Threw Stones At Us, According to Obanikoro

Former lawmaker Senator Musiliu Obanikoro claimed in an interview with Arise that they endured terrible hardships during the first seven months of President Tinubu’s tenure as Lagos State governor, to the point where people nearly flung stones at them. In expressing his opinions on Asiwaju (President Tinubu)’s management of national matters, Obanikoro warned against viewing government exclusively through the prism of Lagos State. Obanikoro highlighted the risks associated with this strategy, bringing comparisons to earlier struggles Lagos had to deal with.

Obanikoro said, “I do not believe Asiwaju (President Tinubu) is approaching the situation of our great country as if he’s the governor of Lagos State. That is a great mistake on the part of anybody who is making that kind of assumption. Let me be honest; this is the same situation we faced in Lagos. For the first 7 months of our administration (the Tinubu administration) in Lagos, we went through hell. At some point, some people almost threw stones at us, but about a year later, everybody was singing Asiwaju.”
