Femi Fani-Kayode, a former minister of aviation and one of the chieftains of the All Progressive Congress (APC), has said that although the Igbo people have endured a great deal over the years, they are among the most civilized, endearing, hospitable, hardworking, and enterprising ethnic nationalities in Africa.
The claim was made by Femi Fani-Kayode in a post that he published on Monday on his official X account.
He published pictures of Chukwuemeka Ojukwu, Nnamdi Kanu, and Peter Obi in a post on his page.
He said Nigeria bombed and starved three million people from the south east to death in the space of three years during the civil war. He said one million children were among those who were bombed.
He wrote on his page;
“The Igbo people of South Eastern Nigeria remain one of the most civilized, charming, accommodating, hard-working and enterprising ethnic nationalities in Africa yet they have suffered so much over the years. For example during the course of the Nigerian civil war we bombed and starved to death 3 million of them in the space of three years including 1 million of their children”.
