BREAKING: They should stop lying to people – I was there when President Tinubu asked the Minister of State for Petroleum, Heineken Lokpobiri, about when the refinery would work – Joe Ajaero

According to the report from the Vanguard, the President of the Nigeria Labour Congress, Joe Ajaero criticizes the federal government’s strategy of holding late-night meetings with state governors in order to delay them from mobilizing for action.

He suggests that the government should adopt new strategies to engage with state governors. He also expresses frustration with the state of the nation’s refineries, noting that the Kaduna refinery has not produced any fuel.

He said, “You (FG) can no longer call us for a meeting when we have action tomorrow or next tomorrow, and you delay us till 11 pm, 12 am in the night so that we won’t come out to mobilize for action. Such a strategy is obsolete. I think they should adopt new strategies.

I was there when President Tinubu asked the Minister of State for Petroleum, Heineken Lokpobiri, about when the refinery would work. As we’re talking, no drop of fuel or PMS has dropped from that refinery! They should stop lying to people.”
