BREAKING: Tinubu Appoints Zahrah Mustapha Audu DG PEBEC

President Bola Tinubu has named Princess Zahrah Mustapha Audu as the new Director General of the Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council (PEBEC), in a move aimed at invigorating Nigeria’s economic landscape.

This is contained in a memo seen by ARISE News and signed by Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akune.

PEBEC has the dual mandate to remove bureaucratic and legislative constraints to doing business and to improve the perception of the ease of doing business in Nigeria.

Princess Audu, an accomplished entrepreneur and technology expert, was before her appointment, a Technical Adviser on Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) to the President. She now replaces Jumoke Oduwole, who was named Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment in a recent cabinet reshuffle.

Audu brings a wealth of experience to her new role, with a solid foundation in software engineering and a business management degree from a prestigious UK institution.

She has spent over a decade building and scaling successful ventures and her profound understanding of global business dynamics positions her as a key player in driving sustainable economic growth and attracting Foreign Direct Investment (FDI).

Audu is renowned for her ability to turn ambitious visions into practical, actionable plans. Her dedication to innovation and transformative change has earned her accolades across various sectors.

Beyond her professional achievements, Princess Audu is a dedicated philanthropist whose tireless efforts to uplift underprivileged communities in Nigeria have solidified her reputation as a compassionate and results-driven advocate for social equity. Her strong ties with international communities and governments further bolster her ability to foster meaningful partnerships that benefit Nigeria’s economic and social development.

In her previous role as the Technical Adviser on Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) to the President, housed within the Office of the Vice President, Audu has spearheaded initiatives such as the “Invest in Nigeria” campaign. She also oversaw the Existing Foreign Direct Investors Roundtable Forum, an initiative designed to strengthen strategic alliances and enhance investment inflows.

Princess Zahrah’s appointment to lead PEBEC reflects a broader strategy under President Tinubu’s administration to leverage competent, forward-thinking individuals in driving economic reform. Her leadership in the All-Progressives Congress (APC) and advocacy for women in leadership underscore her commitment to fostering inclusive progress and social change.

As she assumes her new role at PEBEC, expectations are high that she will bring a transformative approach to improving Nigeria’s business environment. Her expertise, coupled with her passion for innovation and development, promises to chart a new course for economic growth, enhanced ease of doing business, and increased investment opportunities in Nigeria.
