BREAKING: Tinubu Departs Abuja For Abu Dhabi For ADSW 2025

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu left Abuja on Saturday evening to participate in the 2025 edition of Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW 2025), which will take place from January 12 to 18 in the United Arab Emirates.

ADSW 2025, themed “The Nexus of Next: Supercharging Sustainable Progress,” is a global platform dedicated to advancing sustainable development and fostering international collaboration.

The event will convene policymakers, business leaders, and civil society representatives to explore innovative strategies for accelerating the transition to a sustainable economy and promoting socioeconomic growth.

During the summit, President Tinubu is expected to highlight his administration’s achievements and ongoing reforms to advance energy sufficiency, modernise transportation, improve public health, and foster economic development.

In addition to attending the summit, President Tinubu and his delegation will engage in bilateral discussions with the leadership of the UAE to explore opportunities for strengthening ties and addressing mutual interests.

This visit follows a previous engagement in September 2023, during which both nations finalized a historic agreement that immediately ceased the visa ban on Nigerian travellers.

Accompanying the President are the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar, and other senior government officials.

Naija News understands that President Tinubu is expected to return to Nigeria on Thursday, January 16, following what promises to be a pivotal event for advancing Nigeria’s sustainability agenda on the global stage.
