The senior special adviser to the president on community engagement for Kano and Northwest has said that Bola Tinubu is determined to turn the fortunes of Nigeria around.
Abdullahi Yakassai while speaking at the flag off ceremony for the distribution of palliatives in the 44 local government areas of Kano state said Nigeria’s economy would soon stabilize.
He also stated that the current hardship experienced by Nigerians due to the removal of fuel subsidy and the naira devaluation would soon become a thing of the past.
According to Yakassai, President Tinubu took a bold step by removing the fuel subsidy which has long term benefits for citizens.
“This explains how President Bola Tinubu is so determined to turn around the fortunes of this country.
“The situation was so bad that it was only through the hard way that Nigeria’s problems could be fixed and that is what the president, who has a vision and political will, is doing,” the presidential aide said.
While stating that the palliatives being distributed would not solve the current challenges, Yakassai said the All Progressives Congress (APC) is in Kano to take care of its own people.
“The NNPP government in Kano State has been taking care of its members, so we have to take care of our members (APC’s) too, particularly the vulnerable,” Yakassai said.
