BREAKING: Tinubu Mourns Late Ajimobi’s Daughter, Bisola Kola-Daisi

President Bola Tinubu has sent condolences to Mrs. Florence Ajimobi, the wife of the late former Governor of Oyo State, Abiola Ajimobi, following the passing of their daughter, Mrs. Bisola Kola-Daisi.
Until her death, Kola-Daisi, 44, was the Special Adviser to the Minister of Budget and Planning, Atiku Bagudu.
Presidential spokesman Bayo Onanuga said Tinubu conveyed his sympathy to the family and acknowledged their pain in a conversation with Mrs. Ajimobi on Thursday.
Onanuga said Tinubu acknowledged “the unexpected and heart-wrenching departure of a cherished daughter, devoted wife, and mother of three.”
Onanuga added, “President Tinubu also extended his prayers and support to Mrs. Kola-Daisi’s husband, family, friends, and associates, remembering her as warm-hearted, industrious, and charitable.
“He highlighted the enduring impact of Mrs Kola-Daisi’s contributions as a successful businesswoman and a trusted public servant in an advisory capacity, whose wise counsel in budgeting and finance was invaluable.
“President Tinubu prayed for Almighty God’s grace to receive her soul and provide comfort and strength to her survivors.”
Similarly, the Minister of Power, Mr. Adebayo Adelabu, expressed shock over Kola-Daisi’s passing.
In a statement by his Special Adviser on Strategic Communications and Media Relations, Bolaji Tunji, Adelabu described the news as a “great shock.”
Adelabu extended his condolences to Mrs. Kola-Daisi’s husband, Kolapo Kola-Daisi, her mother, and the Kola-Daisi and Ajimobi families.
He lauded the deceased as a remarkable woman who embodied grace, kindness, and strength.
“I can only imagine the depth of grief being experienced,” Adelabu said. He reassured the family that “The legacy of Sen. Ajimobi lives on through his children, and though Abisola’s time with us was cut short, she made her mark through her kindness and love.”
Kola-Daisi’s father, Abiola Ajimobi, died from COVID-19 in 2020.
Ajimobi, served as Oyo State governor from 2011 to 2019, was declared dead on June 25, 2020, after slipping into a coma due to COVID-19 complications.
