BREAKING: Tinubu will use Artificial Intelligence and technology to tackle insecurity

Senator Jimoh Ibrahim, representing Ondo South, has revealed that President Bola Tinubu plans to utilize artificial intelligence (AI) and technology to address Nigeria’s security challenges.

Speaking on Politics Today, a Channels Television program, Ibrahim commended the president’s efforts, noting that N5 trillion has been allocated to security in the budget.

“President Tinubu is shifting from traditional manpower to technology-based solutions for combating banditry and insurgency,” Ibrahim stated.

“No city or local government is flying a Boko Haram flag as of today,” he added.

Ibrahim elaborated on the president’s tech-driven strategy, suggesting that an app could be developed for security personnel and that AI tools would be deployed to enhance efficiency.

He predicted that 2025 would be a challenging year for criminals as these advancements take effect.

“Give it to President Tinubu, whether you like him or not, I am not his spokesman, the security index has improved.

“Before I came on, I checked the security index of Nigeria from the global system. No city or LG is flying Boko Haram flag as of today.

“I am security man, he is going to spend more – he wants to bring in technology to solve the problem of security as opposed to using manpower and that engagement would cost him money.

“He is likely to develop an app that police, army would use – 2025 will be the worst year for criminals. He will use AI, distil it to security personnel to make your life comfortable,” he stated.
