BREAKING: Top APC chieftain dies

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, Bola Longe is dead.

Longe, a retired Assistant Inspector-General of Police died on Sunday, December 22.

He was a strong supporter of President Bola Tinubu during the last presidential election.

He worked closely with the APC in Osun State, helping to rally support for the party and its leaders.

His loyalty to Tinubu and the APC made him a respected figure within the party.

As a police officer, Longe served for over 33 years, earning recognition for his dedication and hard work.

In 2021, he led the operation that uncovered one of the biggest railway vandalism networks in North Central Nigeria.

Before retiring, he held key roles, including heading federal operations at Force Headquarters in Abuja.

After retiring from the police, Longe became a lawyer and a pastor, continuing to serve society in different ways.

He was an alumnus of the University of Ibadan and the University of Lagos and was widely known as a mentor, activist, and peace advocate.

His death has saddened many, with tributes pouring in from political associates, legal colleagues, and family members.
