Troops of the Nigerian Military have arrested Bako Wurgi Sale, an ally to a bandit kingpin Bello Turji during an operation in the North West and North Central.
Major General Edward Buba, the Director of Defence Media Operations on Friday said three high-profile terrorist commanders were arrested by troops in the past week.
According to Buba, Hamisu Sale was arrested alongside Abubakar Mohammed in the North Central region while Wurgi was nabbed in the Northwest region.
Reeling out some of Wuthi’s escapades, Buba said the bandit leader has been linked to the killing of a Sokoto State Monarch.
He added that the terrorist leader had sustained some gunshot wounds during a gunbattle with troops.
He has since been providing the military with relevant information on the activities in the criminals in both regions of the country.
