BREAKING: Trump orders declassification of files on JFK, RFK, and MLK assassinations

Former U.S. President Donald Trump has ordered the release of classified files related to the assassinations of President John F. Kennedy, his brother Robert F. Kennedy, and civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr.

The 78-year-old made the announcement on Thursday in the Oval Office, fueling renewed attention to decades of speculation and conspiracy theories surrounding these historic events.

President John F. Kennedy was assassinated in November 1963 in Dallas. While Lee Harvey Oswald was named the main suspect, his subsequent killing by Jack Ruby two days later left questions of a possible conspiracy unanswered.

Robert F. Kennedy was killed in June 1968 by Sirhan Sirhan, a Palestinian Christian, shortly after his victory in California’s Democratic presidential primary.

Martin Luther King Jr., the iconic civil rights leader, was assassinated in April 1968 by James Earl Ray.

The tragedy came amid efforts by federal authorities to undermine King’s civil rights advocacy.
