Clad in a navy blue prison uniform and chain restraints around his waist, the kingpin is currently awaiting trial over charges naming him as the mastermind behind the rapper’s murder.Keefe D claims to be one of only two witnesses in the murder of TupacKeefe D's lawyer, Carl Arnold, said his client shouldn't be trusted

Earlier this week, Keefe’s lawyer, Carl Arnold, gave a shocking statement in an interview, saying that people “shouldn’t trust” his client.

“I would definitely say he’s a liar,” Arnold told CBS affiliate KLAS-TV, adding that Keefe initially believed he would be protected from prosecution if he gave statements regarding the circumstances of Tupac’s death in 1996.

Keefe gave a secret interview to a detective in 2008 claiming that he helped his nephew Orlando Anderson kill Tupac in a drive-by shooting.

Earlier this year, prosecutors entered an audio recording of the entire interview into evidence, much to Keefe’s fury.

However, Arnold claims Keefe lied about his whereabouts that night, saying there is no DNA evidence to corroborate his statements.

“Anybody can say ‘Well, I gave this person the gun and he shot Tupac,’” he said. “I don’t believe he was there.”

Because of Keefe’s supposed lies, Arnold believes that’ll be the reason why he’ll walk.

He may be able to argue these claims at trial as Nevada prosecutors said on Tuesday they plan to review and turn over documents to end the discovery phase within two months.

Chief Deputy District Attorney Binu Palal told Judge Carli Kierny that the prosecution believes it obtained all the necessary documents from several agencies.

Arnold said he received some of the redacted documents from prosecutors during the pretrial status hearing.

Judge Kierny scheduled another status check for July 23 and the trial is expected to begin sometime around November 4.

INFAMOUS MURDER

Tupac was shot while stopped at a red light in Las Vegas, Nevada on September 7, 1996.

The rapper was shot four times by a .40-calibre Glock and died six days later.

He was only 25 years old at the time of his death.

It was initially suspected that gang member Orlando “Baby Lane” Anderson was behind the murder, however, he denied any involvement and was never charged.

Anderson was killed in 1998 in a gang shooting unrelated to Tupac’s murder.

While some believe Anderson pulled the trigger, police paperwork released in May 2020 showed that authorities were actively looking for “suspects.”

Las Vegas detectives said they “ruled out” the LAPD’s belief that Anderson was the gunman.

“Disclosing the investigative records may alert persons of interest or possible suspects of the investigation….which could cause the destruction or concealment of evidence,” read a 2018 statement.

‘ABANDONED’

On July 18, 2023, the Las Vegas Police Department carried out a search at a home in Henderson, Nevada that was in connection to Tupac’s murder, however, no arrests were made.

It was later revealed the home belonged to the wife of Keefe D, the uncle of Anderson.

Keefe was arrested on September 29, 2023, for his alleged involvement in the fatal shooting.

On January 9, 2024, Keefe’s bail was set to $750,000 and he was granted house arrest, however, he still remains in prison.

The 60-year-old expected that he would be home hours after the judge granted him bail in February, however, now he worries he may not be able to get out of the Clark County Detention Center before his trial.

Keefe reportedly said he feels “abandoned” by his “loyal soldiers” from his time as a gang member.

While raising money to secure bond for his bail, Keefe reportedly made calls to his friends and family but was not able to secure enough cash to be released.

A former gang associate told The U.S. Sun that Keefe expected “some of those guys he helped on the way up to show him love back.”

During his time as a drug kingpin in the greater Los Angeles area, Keefe apparently built up a reputation of regularly gifting “soldiers and his loyal Crips big wads of money and cars.”

“He thrived on that image of being the boss who rewarded his troops,” the associate added.

However, the source said the love and generosity haven’t been reciprocated some thirty years later.

“Keefe feels let down by some of them homies who he showed huge love to back in the day,” the source said.

“He gave them hundreds of thousands in handouts and wages, but nothing is coming back. It is p***ing him off, man.”

SHOCKING CLAIMS

Keefe D once claimed that Sean “Diddy” Combs, whom he often partied with, offered to pay him $1 million to kill Tupac, however, the rap mogul has shot down these rumors.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>

The claims were made in the secret interview Keefe had with an LAPD detective.

He claimed that he and Diddy had several conversations in which he brought up killing both Tupac and Suge Knight.

However, Keefe’s lawyer said that those claims were a lie.

“No. Keefe has not talked to those people. That suggestion is totally false,” said Arnold.
