Africa’s Global Bank, United Bank for Africa (UBA) Plc, is set to launch its first Business Series of the year in honour of International Women’s Day 2025.
With the theme “Against All Odds: The Impact of Women,” this edition will focus on the extraordinary achievements of women who have defied challenges, redefined success, and contributed significantly to their respective industries.
The event aligns with the 2025 International Women’s Day theme, #AccelerateAction, and will be broadcast on ARISE News and TVC, as well as streamed on UBA’s official social media platforms.
This insightful session will feature a distinguished panel of accomplished women, including Chief (Mrs.) Eniola Fadayomi, Board Chairman of Africa Prudential Plc; Faraja Kotta Nyalandu, Founder & CEO of Tanzania’s Shule Direct; Flora Fabyan, Managing Director of BOI Investment and Trust Company Limited; and Nancy Isime, Nollywood actress. The event is scheduled to take place at the Tony Elumelu Amphitheatre in UBA House, Marina, Lagos, on Thursday, 13 March 2025, at 12:00 PM (WAT).
These influential female leaders will share their personal experiences, detailing their journeys of resilience, innovation, and success. Their stories will provide valuable insights into overcoming obstacles and making a meaningful impact in various industries and sectors.
Speaking ahead of the event, Shamsideen Fashola, UBA Group’s Head of Retail and Digital Banking, underscored the significance of the discussion, stating that the knowledge shared by the panellists will serve as an inspiration for women striving to achieve their goals.
