Large groups of children have taken to the streets in Wurma Village, Katsina, expressing their anger over the continuous killing of their parents by armed bandits.
Bandits allegedly carried out multiple attacks in various villages in Katsina, including Wurma village during the last three days without break.
Despite the impact of the attacks on these communities, there has been no intervention from security forces.
The children, without any supervision, blocked off major roads to express their grievances at the lack of support.
The children’s demonstration was captured in a video posted on Hausaroom Instagram page.
The post caption read: “Children protest over killings of their parents by bandits for three consecutive days in Katsina
“Wurma Village a big farming community is completely deserted, security personnel are no where to be found, according to Jamil Mabai who shared videos from the scene of the protest.”
