Former Anambra State governor and Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate Peter Gregory Obi called Ghana’s new president John Mahama “my dear elder brother and president” in a series of social media posts. He uploaded a post on his official X handle that included this information.
Peter Obi made the statement after John Mahama was sworn in as the President of Ghana on Tuesday.
In a post that the former governor of Anambra state shared on his page, he congratulated John Mahama on his inauguration. Peter Obi said may the new chapter be marked by peace and prosperity for the people of Ghana.

“My dear elder brother, President John Dramani Mahama, as you take the oath of office today as President of Ghana, I would like to heartily congratulate you once again and wish you a fruitful tenure”.
