BREAKING: VP Shettima Heads to Borno on Condolence Visit to Families of Slain Soldiers [VIDEO]

Vice President Kashim Shettima on Friday, January 17, departed Abuja to Maiduguri, the Borno State’s capital city on a condolence visit to the families of slain soldiers who were recently lost in a attack by terrorists.

The soldiers paid the ultimate price of death during a terrorists’ attack in Damboa, Borno State while repelling an onslaught that resulted in the neutralization of 34 terrorists at a Forward Operating Base in Sabon Gari.

A statement by the spokesperson for the vice president, Stanley Nkwocha said that while President Bola Tinubu has called for a thorough investigation into the attack, the vice president – at the instance of the president – will pay a condolence visit to the soldiers.

He will also visit the governor of Borno State, Babagana Zulum alongside with his delegation.

Nkwocha said, “On the delegation of the Vice President are Senator Kaka Shehu Lawan (Borno Central), Hon. Abdulkadir Rahis (Maiduguri Metropolitan Federal Constituency), Hon. Usman Zannah (Kaga/Magumeri/Gubio Federal Constituency), Sen. Saidu Alkali (Minister for Transport ), Hon. AjiKolo Ali Gujja (Prominent Politician) amongst others.”
