BREAKING: We Didn’t Turn Serving God Into A Business, God Set It Up As Business

Bishop David Oyedepo, the founder of the Living Faith Church Worldwide, sparked controversy recently when he said that serving God is like doing business—you have assured returns. The video was posted on YouTube. Bishop Oyedepo questioned conventional beliefs about religious service by highlighting the idea of divine entrepreneurship and arguing that believers should see their dedication to God as an investment that will reap material returns on earth.

According to him, ” Serving God is business with unmatchable returns as package. They turned it into business. No, we didn’t turn it. We met it as business. God called it business. Thou shall serve and expect the following as returns. Is that not business? Thou shall invest of your time, energy and resources and expect this as your return. We didn’t turn it into business. God set it up as business. Serving God is Kingdom business with undeniable earthly returns. Not serving your Church, not serving your pastor, I said serving God. Serving God is the platform for the rise of giants in the Kingdom and it is normal.”

Bishop Oyedepo emphasized that the notion of serving God as a business was not a human invention, but a divine decree. He asserted that serving God should also yield tangible benefits in the present world. He revealed that serving God is a pathway to success and prosperity, both in the material and spiritual realms.
