BREAKING: While I Was In Kidnappers’ Den, Their Leader Asked If God Had Given Me Any Signs About It – Ojajuni

The President of the Afenifere National Youth Council, Prince Eniola Ojajuni, has revealed that while he was held captive by kidnappers for 12 days, their leader asked if he had received any divine signs warning him about the abduction.

Ojajuni, who was kidnapped on his way to Abuja, told PUNCH that he had indeed received spiritual warnings before embarking on the journey but had ignored them.

Before leaving home, he had an unusual feeling of hesitation and even returned once for no reason. He also prayed with his children and asked his wife to anoint him with oil, yet he proceeded with the trip despite the lingering sense of caution.

During his time in captivity, the kidnappers, dressed in military uniforms and armed with AK-47 rifles, subjected him and other hostages to severe hardship.

They trekked for hours through the forest, survived on little to no food, and endured beatings, especially when negotiations for ransom were delayed. The abductors initially demanded N100 million for his release, refusing lower offers.

At one point, the leader of the kidnappers engaged him in a conversation and specifically asked whether he had received any signs from God about his abduction.

Ojajuni admitted that he had, recounting his premonitions and unease before the journey. The question left him unsettled, as it suggested that even the criminals believed in spiritual warnings and fate.

In his words: “As a Christian, I received signs from God, but I was too anxious about my destination. I was supposed to travel on Sunday, but due to network issues with one of the telecommunication companies and a bank, I couldn’t. On Monday morning, I woke up my two daughters and asked them to pray for me. After our morning devotion, I asked my wife to anoint me with oil before I left the house. I returned home once for no reason—something felt unusual. I saw those signs but didn’t listen to God’s warning. Even while I was in the kidnappers’ den, their leader called me and asked if God had given me any signs about the kidnapping. I told him yes, and that it was unfortunate I hadn’t listened to God’s voice.
