Witnesses say Canaanland, the international headquarters of Living Faith Church Worldwide, the Christian ministry popularly known as Winners Chapel, is experiencing reduced attendance during service days.
“That is especially on Sundays,” according to sources.
Findings reveal that this development is caused by ongoing road construction in the area, particularly the bridge being built in front of the main entrance to the massive worship center located along Idiroko Road, in Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government, Ogun State, with Bishop David Oyedepo as founder and star preacher.
Visitors say the bridge construction is forcing extended travel before a detour is made to access Canaanland.
“The extended travel, combined with the stress of navigating the rough terrain caused by the road construction, appears to be an added strain many worshippers choose not to bear,” according to available information.
Those in the know say many have opted to embrace Winners Chapel’s satellite campuses and online services until the construction is completed—except during landmark programs.
“It is true. The road leading to Winners Chapel and other link roads that were usually choked on Sundays because of the influx of worshippers are freer nowadays,” a resident disclosed.
