BREAKING: Wike ‘If The Police Did Not Parade These FCT Kidnappers, Nobody Would Know About Their Arrest’

Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has humbly pleaded with the media to continually draw attention to the good work that the security forces do. He stressed that despite the fact that attacks frequently make the news, people are frequently ignorant of the important achievements made by these institutions.

He made the argument that their arrest would have gone unreported if the police had not publicly paraded the newly detained FCT kidnappers. He emphasized that the media should concentrate on highlighting the beneficial contributions and accomplishments of security agencies.

He said in a press conference reported by Channels TV, ”I implore the press to always report positive things about the security agencies. In most cases the only thing that you hear is the attack. You don’t know what they have done. If the police did not parade these FCT kidnappers, nobody would know about their arrest.

Because their own is not to make noise. Their own is to do their job. So try and publicize the positive aspect of what they are doing, not every time you chunk out negative news.”
