Gunmen have abducted the father of the Vice Chairman of Kwali Area Council in the FCT, Alhaji Mohammed Yakubu, along with a pregnant woman and five others in Yewuti village within the council. During the attack, a villager named Hussaini Kure was tragically shot dead.

The abductors have reportedly demanded a N30 million ransom, and negotiations are said to be ongoing, according to a family member of one of the victims who chose to remain anonymous.
