BREAKING: Yobe State Governor Buni Designates Wednesday As Work-Free Day To Pay Tribute To Late Gov Bukar Ibrahim

Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni, has declared Wednesday, February 7, 2024, as a day off for the public to observe a three-day prayer session in memory of the late former governor of the state, Sen. Bukar Abba Ibrahim.

In a statement released on Tuesday by his spokesperson, Mamman Mohammed, Governor Buni encouraged the people of the state to utilize this designated day to offer prayers for the departed former governor, who passed away in Saudi Arabia on Sunday.

The three-day prayer sessions for Sen. Bukar Abba Ibrahim, who was laid to rest in the Holy Land, will be conducted at the Government House Mosque in Damaturu.

The Yobe State Government has formally assumed responsibility for organizing the funeral and condolence rites as a tribute to the late governor.

Governor Buni, accompanied by government officials and the family of the deceased governor, has been graciously receiving condolences from well-wishers within and outside the state at the Government House in Damaturu.
