British High Commission In Nigeria Closes Down Offices In Queen’s Honour

The British High Commission offices situated in Abuja, Lagos and across the federation will be shut on Monday.

The UK Mission in Nigeria made this revelation via a terse statement on its social media pages.

It noted that the shut down is to honor the Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral.

The notice revealed that Visa Application Centres in Abuja and Lagos will be open.

A service of remembrance took place in honor of the Queen on Thursday at the Cathedral Church of Advent in Abuja.

St. George’s Chapel within Windsor Castle would be the final resting place of the late monarch.

The Queen of England who was born in April 21, 1926, in London, died on September 8, 2022, at the Balmoral Castle.
