Nigeria’s President, Muhammadu Buhari has announced that if anyone in the country tries to go against him after he leaves office on May 29 to a new administration, the people of Niger Republic would defend him adding that he had to shut the borders so that Nigerians can deliberately patronize product from the country.
Muhammadu Buhari made this announcement while speaking during the commissioning of the new corporate headquarters of the Nigeria Customs Service, in the nation’s capital, where he said that he was speaking his mind when he said that he was going to go far away from the country.
According to Pres. Muhammadu Buhari, he said, “If you do not secure the confidence of your neighbours, then you are in trouble, your children and grandchildren will also be in trouble that is why when I became the President, I first visited Niger Republic, Chad and Cameroon and why I am saying this is because I have only six more days to go. And I will try to be as far away from Abuja as possible”.
