CDCFIB Recruitment: Important Updates Released on 2025 CBT Examination

The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has announced that the computer-based test (CBT) phase of its ongoing recruitment exercise will begin on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at 9:00 a.m.

This was made known in a statement signed by the Secretary of the board, Maj. Gen. A. M. Jibril (Rtd), on Tuesday.

According to the board, only candidates who have been officially scheduled for the examination will be granted access to the test portal.

Participants are required to strictly follow all examination guidelines to avoid disqualification.

The statement revealed that the CBT will be monitored using artificial intelligence to detect any form of malpractice, third-party interference, or device manipulation throughout the session.

Candidates are advised to ensure they have a stable internet connection, steady power supply, and a suitable device, preferably a laptop.

The board warned that using mobile phones or switching between applications during the test could trigger violation alerts, leading to automatic disqualification.

The examination portal will open 30 minutes before each scheduled session. Candidates are expected to log in through the official portal, recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng, complete the photo verification process, and remain in the virtual waiting room until the exam begins automatically at the scheduled time.

The board noted that candidates who are disconnected during the test can rejoin within the allotted time and continue from where they stopped.

The statement reads, “The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) wishes to inform all shortlisted candidates that the online Computer-Based Test (CBT) phase of the recruitment exercise will commence tomorrow Wednesday, 12th November, 2025 at 9:00 a.m.

“Only candidates who have been officially scheduled will be permitted to log in. All candidates MUST carefully study and adhere to the examination rules to avoid disqualification. The system has been designed to monitor and detect all forms of malpractice, third-party interference as well as device manipulation. The CBT will be AI-proctored throughout the entire session. Candidates are advised to have a stable internet connection, steady power, as well as the right device—preferably a laptop. While mobile phones and tablets may be used, interruptions such as calls or switching applications will trigger violation alerts. Repeated violations will result in automatic failure.

“The portal will open 30 minutes before each scheduled exam. To access the exam, candidates are to log into the Board’s portal at recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng at the exact exam window selected during registration, complete the photo verification process, and remain in the virtual waiting room until the exam begins automatically at the scheduled time.
