Chelsea has performed admirably this season and has given indications that they may soon take their rightful place atop the league standings. In the meantime, Nicolas Jackson outperformed Chelsea’s top scorer from the previous campaign, according to a statistic.
Jackson continued over his strong preseason play into the current campaign. Chelsea supporters were concerned about his performance at the start of the season, but he soon began to disprove their doubts about his suitability for the position.
Jackson was brilliant in the game against Tottenham and Manchester City as well as other tough games this season. The African striker will be aiming to pick off from where he stopped when the international break is over.
However, Havertz was Chelsea’s leading goal scorer in the Premier League last season with 7 goals (6 non-penalty goals). Jackson has already equalled that non-penalty goals tally in 9 starts. Jackson has six league goals in 9 Premier League starts which shows that he has performed better than Chelsea’s leading goalscorer for last season because he would still score more before the season ends.
Many Chelsea fans have backed Jackson to finish the season with at least 15 goals.
