Chelsea allegedly acquires a new defensive midfield player

Chelsea has reportedly signed Gabriel Moscardo from Corinthians, per SCCP News. The Brazilian wonderkid was eventually signed by the Blues.

According to reports, the West London club made a deal with the Brazilian team and signed him for a sum of €26 million.

In reality, Gabriel Moscardo is a defensive midfielder. His defensive prowess has earned him the nickname “Brazilian Declan Rice” on numerous occasions.

Of course, Mauricio Pochettino has enough legs in the midfield. However, adding the 18-year-old Brazilian international to the team isn’t a bad idea.

Having signed Gabriel Moscardo from Corinthians for a fee of €26 million. The Blues have now spent over €90 million on Moscardo, Ugochukwu, Santos, and Casadei.

Aside from that, they have spent £120 million on Caicedo and £60 million on Lavia. Of course, Chelsea are seriously building their midfield for the future.

The likes of Barcelona, Bayern Munich, and others are reportedly interested in the 18-year-old midfielder. But he’s now expected to join the Blues family.

Actually, only Lesley Ugochukwu is a standard DM at Chelsea this season. The likes of Gallagher, Enzo, and Caicedo aren’t defensive midfielders.

As a result, the West London club are wise to sign Gabriel Moscardo. He’s considered one of the most brilliant talents in South America.

Meanwhile, the 18-year-old midfielder is most likely to join Strasbourg on loan. Apparently, he cannot make it to the first-team under Mauricio Pochettino this season.

Simply put, Chelsea have reportedly signed Gabriel Moscardo for a fee of €26 million, as they reached an agreement with Corinthians.
