Chelsea academy sensation Kobi Ugbana has spoken of his pride and excitement after meeting Super Eagles defender Calvin Bassey, who offered him words of inspiration and a glimpse into the glory days of Nigerian football.

The young forward was “thrilled” to speak with the Fulham star, who shared career advice and recalled the brilliance of Nwankwo Kanu and Jay-Jay Okocha, describing them as “true forces who made Nigeria great.”

Clearly motivated, Ugbana — a lifelong admirer of the Super Eagles — said he dreams of one day representing Nigeria on the international stage.

“It’s always been my dream to play for Nigeria,” the teenager said. “Meeting Calvin and hearing about legends like Kanu and Okocha just makes me want it even more.”
