Chukwueze celebrates winner vs Newcastle
Samuel Chukwueze snatched a late match winner for AC Milan to beat hosts Newcastle United 2-1 to remain in European competitions in the New Year.
The winger came off the bench to conjure a magical left-footed curler in the 83rd minute for Milan to finish third in a UEFA Champions League group that also has PSG and Borussia Dortmund.
Chukwueze combined with another substitute Noah Okafor for the decisive goal.
He is hitting good form in time for next month’s AFCON.
Milan will thus play off with a team from the Europa League for a place in the Round of 16 of that competition after they failed to finish at least runners-up in the Champions League.
