Clerics Wish for the Success of AbdulRazaq and Tinubu

The people of Kwara State yesterday held special prayer for the success of the administrations of President Ahmed Bola Tinubu and the state governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.

The Islamic clerics who anchored the special prayer organised for a newly appointed non-executive director of the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation Limited (NNPCL), Dr Mohammed Ghali Alaaya, an indigene of Kwara State, prayed to God to grant Tinubu a successful tenure.

They also requested God to grant Governor AbdulRazaq more achievements in his second term of office.

The clerics thanked Tinubu and AbdulRazaq for finding Ghali worthy of the appointment into NNPCL’s board.

The well attended prayer session was at the instance of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ubandawaki ward, Ilorin West local government area of Kwara State.

Members of the Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF), Kwara State chapter, which Alaaya chairs and Gamji Members Association (GAMA), which the honouree belongs, collaborated with the people of Ubandawaki ward in organising the prayer.

The prayer session was led by Sheikh Mubarak Alaiye who was supported by other prominent clerics; Ustaz Abdullahi Olooto, Ustaz AbdulBaki Odegbangba, Ustaz Sakariyah Olesin and Alfa Muhammad Ajijola Anabi, amongst others.

Dignitaries who graced the event included the chief of staff to the governor, Alhaji AbdulKadir Mahe, Alhaji L.A.K Jimoh, the senior adviser and counsellor, Alhaji Saadu Salahu, special adviser on media to the governor, Alhaji Bashir Adigun, ex- commissioner for tertiary education, Dr Afees Abolore ,chairman, Kwara State Basic Education Board, Prof Shehu Adaramaja, general manager of KWASSIP, Dr AbdulWasiu Tejidini, senior special assistant on Religion (Islam), Ibrahim Danmaigoro and Kwara’s focal person for National Social Investment Programme, Dr Rabiat Shehu- Jimoh Alabere.

In a brief lecture, the chief imam of Oloje, Ilorin, Sheikh AbdulMumini Ibrahim, enjoined Ghali to justify the confidence reposed in him by the governor and president Tinubu who were instrumental to his appointment.
