Justice Emeka Nwite in his ruling reduced the amount from N10 million to N5 million each after the protesters were unable to meet their bail condition.
Counsel to the first, second and fourth defendants told the court that some of the protesters were unable to secure sureties with landed property in Abuja.
The protesters further applied for a bail variation from the court, to which the judge reduced their condition to N5 million each.
Also part of the conditions newly set by the court include one surety in like some, who must be a close relative to the defendants.
He added that the sureties specifically, must be a father or mother, or another blood relative residing within the jurisdiction if neither parent is available.
The protesters are facing six counts, including treason, conspiracy to commit a felony, inciting mutiny, and attempting to destabilise Nigeria.
The offences against the protesters are all punishable under section 97 of the penal code.
