Dele Farotimi Responds After Delta Community Where 16 Solders Were Killed Was Razed Down

Dele Farotimi, a human rights activist and lawyer, responded when he learned that the Delta hamlet, the scene of 16 army deaths, had been demolished.

He expressed his response in a post on Sunday on his official X Twitter.

The seaside town of Okuama, where sixteen military soldiers were slain on Thursday, has reportedly been demolished, according to PREMIUM TIMES. The village was completely destroyed on Sunday morning, according to the report.

However, Dele Farotimi has now reacted after the report surfaced online. In a post that he shared on his official X handle on Sunday, he condemned the killing of the soldiers and also condemned the razing down of the community.

In the post that he made on his page, he said the reprisal attack taken by the military against the entire community is inhuman and genocidal.

Dele Farotimi wrote on his page;

“The murder of soldiers as reportedly done by a few in Okuama is reprehensible and evil, but the reprisal attack undertaken by the military against the entire community is inhuman and genocidal. The military has acted as an army of occupation, and should be ashamed of itself”.
