An unidentified Police officer was recently seen on camera using a stick to beat a young man during a stop and search routine somewhere in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. In the video, the Police officer was seen continuously slapping the young man who kept on asking if he did anything wrong to warrant such treatment.

The video which had since stirred outrage among Nigerians also caught the attention of the Delta State Police Spokesperson, DSP Bright Edafe who condemned the action.
DSP Bright pointed that erring Police officers like the one seen in the viral video are the ones making the job of a Police spokesperson very difficult with their disgraceful actions. Reacting to the video, DSP Bright said: “The job of a PPRO becomes more difficult with characters like this. I trust my boss Prince Moye.”
