Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State has said Osun State controlled by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) cannot be compared to his state with regard to its battle with the APC-led governments.
Wike in a no-holds-barred interview commended himself and the team for delivering the majority of the seats in the state to the PDP while the APC made several attempts to “rig” the election.
He boasted earlier in the interview that Rivers State was the only state to have delivered electoral victory for the party. He was only reminded that Osun State led by Senator Ademola Adeleke had won the majority of the seats in the state.
Wike said: “Don’t compare my state to the level of PDP. Osun just came. Let us tell ourselves the simple truth, allow the federal government to hunt Osun then the next election we can now know if they can survive the way we have survived.
That is the point I am trying to make. Was there any federal attack on them? The point I am making is that when the election comes and you have a federal government that s against the state government and you survive in that election, then you know you have survived.”
