Edo State: I noticed something about the Fulani men who kidnapped us- Isaac Osagie says

According to a news that was published by the Punch Newspaper online this morning, it was reported that a 43-year-old farmer, whose name was given as Isaac Osagie, who was kidnapped on his farm in Edo State on March 21, has shared his experience with the Kidnappers. While he was talking with Punch correspondent, he revealed the country of his captors although, he was not totally sure.

Narrating his ordeal in their hands, he said after the Kidnappers discussed with him and others on how much they would pay as ransom, they allowed him to contact his family on the second day and they started torturing him as soon as he was on the phone with his people, so that he would cry and his family members would realise he was in a serious problem.

He said, “They tried to force Indian hemp on me, but I refused and they asked if I was a pastor, and I said yes. They later told me to call my church members and I told them that I would call the senior pastor and my brother and at the end of the day, they said I would pay N2.5m but, at this point, I was so weak that they were now the ones talking to my people to bring the ransom.

Osagie said he told them there was no naira and on the third day, without eating and sleeping, they were constantly beaten and if anyone doze off in the afternoon, they will hit the with wood.

When Osagie was asked what the tribe or nationality of his captors was, he said they are Fulani people but, not from Nigeria.

He said, “I actually noticed something about the Fulani men who kidnapped us. Truly, they are Fulani but, they actually look like they are from Niger Republic because, they don’t look like the Nigerian Fulani that I have come across in years.”
