Elderly woman with distinctive eyeglasses visits two banks to withdraw money – then cops catch whiff of a crime

AN ELDERLY woman has been accused of stealing someone’s identity and unlawfully withdrawing money from two different banks.

Cops in Parma, Ohio, launched an urgent search for the suspect after an unnamed woman reported her identity had been stole

The Brook Park resident noticed that money had been withdrawn from her bank account on October 20.

She reported the matter to the Parma Police Department, who shared images of the suspect on Facebook.

According to cops, the elderly female is also the suspect in a similar crime that took place in Eastlake, Ohio.

“The pictured elderly female is the suspect in this case, and she is responsible for a similar crime in Eastlake,” the statement read.

The post includes two separate security camera images of the woman visiting two banks on different days.

While visiting one bank she wore bright blue reading glasses.

The woman also had her hair pulled up in a low ponytail and wore a white t-shirt and a white and grey cardigan.

In the other security image, the woman is wearing the same bright blue reading glasses.

This time, however, she was spotted in a grey beanie and black jacket with her hair down.

According to the police, the woman has not be criminally charged and they ask the public to refrain from posting any names to keep her identity under wraps.

“The individual shown has not been criminally charged so we ask that you refrain from publicly posting any names,” read the police’s statement.
