EPL: Pochettino names player who could become Chelsea’s next captain

Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino is backing Levi Colwil to become the club’s captain in future.

The 20-year-old was handed the armband for the first time as they lost 2-1 at Manchester United in midweek.

Pochettino has now said Colwill has the personality of a leader.

“No. It is (only seen as) a pressure for (people) who don’t know Levi,” he told reporters.

“Levi can deal with it because of his personality and character. He loves the club; he came from the club (the academy) and in 4-5 months (with the first team), everyone respects him. He has the profile to be captain.”
